you had to wait a while / but you could hear it on the a.m. radio

I can’t seem to carve out time to pee, much less blog. This blows. I’m here in my office with the door shut and can’t seem to pretend I’m not here anyway—phone rings, people knock and then enter without waiting, etc. etc. I actually have to keep my office door locked.
Anyway for what it’s worth this is a blog and I will now add a link—here’s one to the Stegner Fellowship at Stanford—I first applied in 1998, didn’t get it (obviously, cos why would I be blogging or locking my office door if I had) and am considering it again, though it’s just crazy, because 450 poets compete each year for 5 slots. Still, why not. Then again I could just pull two twenties out of my wallet, if there were any IN my wallet, and set fire to them.
I’m hiding in my office, wearing my new stripy sweater (mostly red and orange, but fun), eating a green apple and dreaming stupid dreams.
