did someone say privacy?

These poor bastards. Of course I immediately entered my zip code but apparently we have no sex offenders in Tesuque. Please don’t ask why my sympathy is with the convicted, even when I’ve just read that one menacing-looking white guy has an identifying tattoo reading “Flaming Bitch.” I’ve decided there is no such thing as privacy in NM. I know, Mr. Franzen would say there was even less in 1870; that we’re wallowing in privacy these days, we just don’t have any public space left. I just—what a world we live in. The worst thing by far is that most of these guys have Hispanic last names. Does that mean Hispanic men are more likely to be sex offenders? I doubt it. I just think they’re more likely to have shitty or no legal representation.

NB by the way that if you do not select an avatar one will be dictatorially assigned to you. And it may not be all that pretty. I'm just saying.
