common personals abbreviations

These are by far the most elaborate ones I’ve ever read, which is good, because the ones for the Alt Weekly are so circumscribed and boring—are they better in the other SF? They’ve got to be, right? “Temporarily Divorced Yesterday.” Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha! Ha. Cough.

I have the cramps and am struggling back and forth with a very nice editor in Japan over her having a PC, my having a Mac, and both of us being woefully ignorant of the topic about which Robin Williams wrote so eloquently in How to Boss Your Fonts Around. It will be a miracle if this torrid poem-prose thing, co-written by the Librarian and myself in a fit of frustrated sublimation, ever comes out in print. [And yet it did, in Four Factorial.]

HAVE AN AVATAR

Now you can be represented in your comments not just by whatever weird handle I've made up when posting about your personal private business, but by a visual representation of the real you! Upload your avatar today!

NB by the way that if you do not select an avatar one will be dictatorially assigned to you. And it may not be all that pretty. I'm just saying.
