brief plaintive personal refrain

I do not need a purple cashmere sweater, even if it is on sale from Lands’ End for $59.95.
I do not need a scarlet cashmere sweater, even if it is on sale from Lands’ End for $59.95.
I do not need a sea-green cashmere sweater, even if it is on sale from Lands’ End for $59.95. Besides the small sizes are all gone and they only have these overstock “sales” anyway to create the illusion of scarcity and thus spur you to buy hastily without reflecting. Consider this reflection. Consider this reminding myself I don’t need new sweaters because I am moving to San Diego/Todos Santos/Honolulu/St. Lucia and if I buy anything from overstock, it should be a bleepin’ bikini.
