“i printed out the chapts and am very pleased with what you are doing with the book. we should meet [but why? why?!] as soon as i return from india. i look forward to receiving the next installment as soon as possible. i leave for india april one and can work on the ms. there. pls let me know……”

But I already told her the next section date is Friday, March 30 (a date I am beginning to dread). God, I’ll be so fucking glad when the Dying Book is dead, and I no longer have to read emails in which the author is just too busy and important to spell out the word of common courtesy, “please.” Pls! Spare me.
