Oh, it wants to post! It wishes it were posting....or knitting. (It's not too sure why it's in the third person singular neuter gender.) But instead it is GRADING PAPERS and PREPPING and this weekend is my BIRTHDAY! Noooooo!

I did however 1) email the yarn lady to ask if she would puhleeeeze make that colorway again and 2) just have a fabulous grilled salmon salad with the B. (temporarily rendered slack-faced by allergy medication). So all is not lost....

I have been thinking of a blog post consisting entirely of all the *titles* of blog posts of which I have thought in the last month, but to which I have not written the accompanying posts and/or actually posted. Right.

My fantasy is that since you're not writing for the blog at the moment, you're knitting that gorgeous yarn. It's tangentially related to my fantasy that I've finished the lovely but interminable lace shawl I've been working on since the dawn of time and am about to be able to move on to something in a heftier wool, with bigger needles and fewer stitches....

Well the view from this particular section of Tartarus is nicely brightened with yarn porn. And hey, you're posting! Whereas I've got this tortured metaphor in my head (that unfortunate tendency to turn EVERYTHING into a metaphor!) wanting to compare yarn and knitting and unbroken strings of words unspooled across journal page after journal page to Ariadnes' thread guiding our hero past bull-headed monsters and out of vast labyrinths which is not something I am going to publish on my own blog, oh no!
