Um..what’s wrong with Biden? Doesn’t “Obama-Biden” have a nice, alliterative, almost palindromic-icy feel to it? Plus, they are numerologically mui simpatico:
Obama=2+9+4+5+14=32
Biden==2+9+4+5+14=34
32+34=66
6+6=12
1+2=3
..and 3 is PRIME. See?
Yes, Biden’s not cool like Sibelius. But isn’t this all about defusing the critics on the right? Obama+Biden == Bush+Cheney circa 2000 in terms of foreign policy experience. (But, you know, hopefully with better judgment.)
Plus, we’ll have years of smiling indulgently at Biden’s little verbal gaffes. Sort of like an aural version of watching Gerald Ford stumble down the stairs off Air Force One.
Oops. Obama==15+2+1+13+1=32. The rest of the math was right, though.
Thank you. That was my reaction as I got the text message while enjoying the peaceful environs of the Franciscan Renewal Center. Totally killed the relaxation.
a.r.w.: Well, see, funny thing: a few years ago the Sikh’s Ex-Wife and I tried to nab whatwasithinking.com, to start a website making merry concerning disastrous marriages. And you’re right, all the related URLs are taken. But since then whatwasithinking.com has become a stock phrase on this blog, and a relentlessly abused in-joke with me and Mandarin.

I always read. I am just not a major commentary type person, especially at the moment. Although after I recover, I might post about the training in participatory dialogues that I engaged in while enjoying the center. I need to remember it is there when I need to get away from the “city.” Somehow, they make you forget that you are in the middle of Paradise Valley.
