The comment avatar thingy still doesn’t work, but you can now post comments all by your ownsome, without any annoying intrusive editorial presence. The only thing is, Wordpress does insist that you put in a name and an email address (which will still be invisible); web address optional, but always nice. So fire away! I will no longer impertinently amend your em-dashes.
